There are both similar and different things between Korea and Newzealand.
Even though I have just stayed NZ for a month, I could apparently figure out the differents of two.
So from now on, I'd like to compare NZ and Korea about 4 things.
I will put the tittle of this page :
Korea vs New Zealand
1. BBI vs Muck ho girl's middle school in korea.
- what's the similar thing?
(1) We have to wear our uniform.
(2) We must tie our hair if it's too long.
(3) We learn not only how to study but also freindship.
(4) We must listen to teachers and of course the school rules.
-in korea we are...
(1) We have our own cafataria. All the students have the same lunch at the same place.
(2) We we got something wrong, we got minus grades. It influnces to your grade and will be written on your paper. You might cannot go to college or university that you want to go.
(3) We have different teachers at every subjects.
(4) Our school ends at 5:30. 8 blocks. 1 block is 55 minutes.
(5) No morning tea time. No Tuck shop and No eating in the school. But every 1 block ends, we got 10 minutes break.
(6) Our first term starts at march and ends at July. Second term starts at August and ends at December.
(7) Not many PE classes.
-in NZ they are ...
(1) The relationship between teachers and students is very freindly.
(2) The floor is matt.
(3) The bell sounds like the fire alram.
(4) Every breaktime, they do excercise. (Like running or playing with balls)
(5) Many experiments.
(6) Only one floor. (In My school, it's not large but tall)
(7) Toilets are clean.
-Oh I like...
(1) Morning tea time
(2) finish at 3:00
(3) No cleaning time
(4) Sitting on the matt
(5) No minus points. I rather detention writting a dictionary.
(6) Tuck shop
-oh I hate... (1) getting angry even with the small thing.
(2) lunch box
(3) Not allowed being in the class in the break time.
2. My home vs homestay home
-what's the similar thing?
(1) Everybody watch Tv after the dinner.
(2) Everybody stay in the living room.
(3) Have to clean own room
(4) Mom usually do all the house task.
(5) Have dinner together.
-In korea we are ...
(1) Staying late minimam 11 PM.
(2) Instead of carpet, we have boiler.
(3) In summer house is cold and in winter house is hot.
(4) Shampoo has lots of bubles.
(5) Living in the apartment.
(6) Big dogs prohibited.
- In NZ they are...
(1) toilet and shower room is apated.
(2) Have 2 living rooms.
(3) Have back yards.
(4) Have to sleep maximam at 9 pm.
- I like here's culture...
(1) Sleeping early
(2) Many rooms and living in the house not a apartment.
- oopps I hate ....
(1) No heater in the bedroom.
(2) Less bubbles in shampoo.
(3) No trash buns next to the toilet.
(4) Big dogs in the house
(5) Drinking right away from the tap.
(6) Very strict to their things.
3. Korean food vs NZ food
-This is similar...
(1) Eat 3 times a day
(2) Eat dinner together
(3) Many conversations.
(4) Eat dinner a lot.
- In Korea we are...
(1) Eat rice at every meal.
(2) Eat Kimchi at every meal.
(3) Eat breakfast a lot and No eating in the daytime except lunch.
(4) No desersts
(5) Only mom make a food
(6) Not many oilly food. We prefer spicy.
(7) Eat fish a lot.
(8) Use chopsticks.
- I learned that in Newzealand they are ...
(1) Divide everything to each person.
(2) For breakfast and lunch, we have bread.
(3) Lots of oily food.
(4) Have 2 kinds of milk. Trim and regular.
(5) ice cream after dinner.
(6) Eat meat a lot.
(7) Fish is not common.
-I love that...
(1) Have disserts after dinner
(2) Have hot chocolate and cookies before go to bed
